EIB 32 and 64 channels

PCB for one or two 32-channel (36-pin) Omnetics connectors (product #A79026-001).
The holes are gold plated to achieve low impedance and the board thickness is 0.5mm to reduce overall weight.

There are 3 versions of the EIBs, two for the new drive, one for the old flexDrive.

  • (1) shuttleDrive (new, 2019) 32-ch Omnetics EIB *

  • (2) shuttleDrive (new, 2019) 64-ch Omnetics EIB

  • (3) flexDrive (old) 64-ch Omnetics EIB

* - This version is also compatible with the flexDrive (old)

Average weight, external diameter and holes sized:

  • (1) 0.51 grams, 15.9 mm, large holes

  • (2) TBD grams, 15.9 mm, small holes

  • (3) 0.89 grams, 21.6 mm, large holes

Can be ordered with or without Omnetics connectors soldered on.
Please note that the holes are sized for either small or large Neuralynx gold pins.

Additional Information

(1) EIB 32 Channels

Includes two holes for 1.25 mm fiber optic ferrules, and two holes for screws.
Supports 8 tetrodes or 16 stereotrodes.

(2) EIB 64 Channels

Includes hole holes for 0.70 mm fiber optic ferrules.
Supports 16 tetrodes.

(3) EIB 64 Channels

Includes three holes for 1.25 mm fiber optic ferrules, and two holes for screws.
Supports 16 tetrodes.

Note: The spacing of the connectors is not compatible with the 64-channel Intan headstages. You will need to use two separate 32-channel headstages. If want to use the 64-channel Intan headstage, use the version (2) EIB 64 Channels.
